We built Umbra in the open. Here's why.

Security products have a transparency problem. The most expensive tools are the most opaque: black-box pricing, locked-down architecture diagrams, “talk to sales” buttons where “this scans your stuff” should be.

We’re building Umbra the other way.

Public pricing

The pricing page has real numbers, not “starting from.” Every plan caps + features are listed. The AI dollar economics are documented down to the markup ratio. If you can do arithmetic you can predict your bill.

Public docs

Concepts (asset-pool model, AI validation) are explained in public, no demo gating, no “sign up to read.” The people we want as customers are the ones who read the docs first.

Public architecture

The blog’ll get into the technical posts shortly: the Postgres schema, the worker pipeline, the AI agent transcript format. If you’re considering Umbra you should be able to evaluate the engineering before you write the cheque.
